Short Summary of Everest Base Camp Journey

Join our trekking package of 20 days to explore Tsum valley and Manaslu region. Our trekking begins after your arrival and reception in Kathmandu. After sightseeing of Kathmandu valley, we drive to reach Soti khola from where our trekking begins. We start our trek on the trail through beautiful Sal forests and then Gurung village of Labrubesi to reach Machha khola. We trek to Jagat and then Lokpa passing various sceneries. From Lokpa, we continue walking on our trail crossing the suspension bridge and ascend to Chumling. From Chumling, we enter the hidden valley of Tsum and ascend to reach Chhokangparo passing amazing view of mountains. we trek up to Mu Gumpa and trek down Rachen. From there, we trek through Chumje, Bihi, Namrung, Lho to reach Samagaon, a beautiful local village situated at the foot of Manaslu. From Samagaon, we continue our trek to reach High Camp via Samdo. From there, we trek through Bimthang, Tilche and Sankhe passing through valleys, rhododendron forests, wooden bridges and various trekking trails to reach Besisahar. From Besisahar, we drive to Kathmandu from where you can depart for your home.

How Hard is This Trek

This exhilarating trekking offers so much. This is a strenuous trek and it requires anybody to be physically fit, mentally prepared and able to walk 5 to 8 hours a day. The best time for this trek is from September to November and from March to May.     After breakfast, we continue for our visit in Kathmandu Valley which incorporates Kathmandu Durbar Square, Swoyambhunath Stupa (Monkey Temple), Pashupatinath Temple and Baudhanath Stupa.     Nile is the last villages that can be observe through the trail situated in upper part of Tsum Valley. Passing Ripche, we trek to Chhokangparo first which is known for settlements of Chhekam and Paro. During the trail, you can observe many views of glowing Himalayas along with the spectacular ranges of Ganesh Himal and Piren Phu. Piren Phu is also known as Pigeon Cave situated in Burji Village. Milarepa is believed to have mediated in this cave. Milarepa is a very popular Tibetan saint. From here we move to chulle and about 20 minutes’ walk across we reach at Nile.     After breakfast we continue trek to Mu Gumba, the largest monastery in the expanse. Mu Gumba is positioned at the maximum and farthest point in the Tsum valley. This Ghumba was established in 1895 AD and is situated at an altitude of 3510m. The monastery houses spiritual books, counting Kangyur, a life sized statue of Avalokiteshwara, and images of Guru Padmasambhava and Tara. Later on we visit Dephyudonma Gumba is one of the oldest monasteries in the Tsum Valley and is situated in the rugged mountains, a 2 hr walk from the village of Chhule and Nile.     After having breakfast, we take the trail to Rachen Gumba, a monastery. The monastery is found in the Shiar Khola Valley in the hills of the mountains bordering Nepal and Tibet.     When leaving Tilje, the trail crosses over Dudh Khola and follows the ridge, dropping down through forests until Dharapani (1960m). Then we joins our path with Annapurna Circuit in reverse and badges the Marsyangdi River. After a sudden rocky staircase we reach Tal (1700m). Kathmandu to Sotikhola

We also offer a 4×4 jeep for the drive to Sotikhola which is known as the Starting trekking point of Manaslu Region. Meals/Accommodation

Generally, dinner and breakfast is served in a lodge and lunch is served during the trek. You will have full possibilities or choice to choice your favored stuffs from a minor menu provided by the lodge.

The manaslu region can be considered the best region for trekking in Nepal in terms of accommodation as we will manage best accommodation for you(Our Guest). We can found some hotels having basic rooms, normally just a bed with a pillow and blankets with electric lights and all have a spacious dining room-lounge.  Now-a-days in the new constructions we can find involved bathrooms as well. Mostly the lodges in Manaslu have small room with 2 Single Bed.

Footwear

Trekking boots, trekking socks, and sandals.

Clothing: 

Down jacket, waterproof jacket, and trousers, trekking trousers, long sleeve shirts, microfleece, mid to heavyweight fleece, sleeveless or body warmer type fleece, thermals or base layer for top & bottom (merino wool or synthetic), fleece pants,

fleece gloves warm mittens and/or gloves.

Headwear:

Sun hat, wool or fleece hat, scarf, head torch and extra batteries for incase, and sunglasses.

Personal Equipment:

Day backpack large enough to carry water bottles, camera, lunch and extra clothing, stuff sacks for keeping your gear dry and organized, two water bottles (Nalgene wide-mouth bottles are the best), sunscreen and lip salve with a high SPF, insect repellent, water purification tablets (Pristine, Box Aqua or Aqua Mira), iPod and cards etc., trekking poles, camera with spare batteries and memory cards, insurance certificate.

Personal first aid kit:

Small personal first-aid kit. (Simple and light), Aspirin, first-aid tape, plasters (Band-Aids), 1 skin-blister repair kit Anti-diarrhea pills, Anti-headache pills, Cough and/or cold medicine, Anti-altitude sickness pills: Diamox or Acetylzolamide, Stomach antibiotic: Ciprofloxacin, etc. Do not bring sleeping pills as they are a respiratory depressant, Water purification tablets or water filter, 1 set of earplugs, Extra pair of prescription glasses and contact lens supplies.
