Weather in Nepal Weather refers to Climate. Before Trekking in Nepal it must important to know about the weather condition. The most popular Trekking area in Nepal is Everest Region, Annapurna and Langtang. Thus, when doing e.g. the Everest Base Camp trek and reaching Kala Patthar which lies at an altitude of 5,400 m, then the temperature will have fallen additionally 27 degrees, compared with sea level (please note though that Kathmandu lies at approx. 1,300 m above sea level). 1.  Spring [Mar to May] October and November is considered as the main Trekking Season, where there will be warm and more comfortable at higher altitudes. 2. Summer [End June to Mid Sept] Normally it is the foulest Trekking season due to monsoon beating. In this season there will be wet and hot, people don’t like to travel in this season. Rain is coming almost every day, for a limited number of hours though. 3. Fall [Mid Sept to End Nov] It is the most popular and best Trekking season in Nepal as monsoon is cleared and weather is clean, normally giving quite a number of days with a clear blue sky. Being Nepal’s ‘high season’ you can expect quite a number of trekkers. 4. Winter [End Nov to Mid Feb] While the weather is indeed likely to provide quite some blue sky and sun, it is rather cold, especially as you reach higher altitudes. Trekking is without doubt possible, however, warm clothes are required, and trekking passes in higher altitudes may be blocked by snow.
